DNA Board, Members, and Downtown Stakeholders,

We have come a long way this year.

Membership has grown from 21 to over 50 property owners, business owners, and residents.

The Neighborhood Watch program is off the ground, signs are up and we are beginning to establish Block Captains and a reporting system. The reporting system will enable us to take documented issues to the Police Department and the City Commission.

We have a Web Site (www.jcdna.org) that is updated frequently to keep everyone informed.

DNA liaisons to JCDA have opened the lines of communication between the groups.

We wrote and approved bylaws to establish standard operating policies and procedures.

We have had monthly programs at Carver Recreation Center that have included -

* Neighborhood Watch Program by Ed Breese and Terry Hardin (JCPD)
* Monthly Updates on City Projects by Phil Pindzola Director - Public Works, Johnson City, TN
* A presentation on Tax Increment Financing by Bridgett Massengill Executive Director - Johnson City Development Authority
* A presentation of the Downtown Loan Programs by Ken Rea Director Economic and Community Development – First Tennessee Development District
* A presentation on the Oak Hill Cemetery by Barbara Sanders Thomas Spokesperson – Oak Hill Cemetery Friends and Volunteers
* A presentation on Johnson City Budget by Stephanie Hoskins Director – Budget & Productivity, Johnson City, TN
* We continue to work to provide value added programs. We thank you for your continued support and encourage your participation.

Respectfully,

Marcus Nachman
President
