Letter From the Board
January 2006
Dear DNA Members and Downtown Stakeholders,
With our first year behind us, we are continuing to position DNA
to take a greater role in shaping the future of the downtown
area.
The 2006 Officers and Board of Directors are:
Sally Manley - Alternate
Angela Vachon - Past President
In order to meet our Mission Statement, the board of directors has
established some short and long term goals. By accomplishing
a series of short term goals we will accomplish our long term
goals.
 | Increase membership, member participation, and member
representation.
 | Establish an Internet presence.
 | Change the perception of downtown safety. |
| |
These are being addressed with current action items
 | We are offering FREE
membership to all prospective members who own property, operate
a business, and/or have a primary residence downtown.
 | Also, for those who do not qualify for full membership but
would like to participate, we are offering FREE
associate and student non-voting memberships.
 | For all existing members, 2006 dues are now due.
 | However, existing members can have their 2006 membership
renewed FREE by
signing up 2 or more new members before
the March General Membership Meeting.
 | Contact Kimball Sterling - Membership Chair kimsold@tricon.net
 | Or email, snail mail, or fax the attached membership
application to the addresses shown below. |
|
 | Establishing a web site.
 | Marc Nachman - Web Site Chair |
 | Establishing a neighborhood watch program.
 | Ed Breese - Safety Chair |
|
| | | | |
We challenge each of you to get involved.
 | We need member volunteers to represent DNA as liaisons to the
various city government and community organizations. If
you have an interest, contact any board member.
 | We need you to talk to your neighbors and bring at least 2 new
members to DNA. If you need an 2006 membership form, you
can contact any board member.
 | We need volunteers for the neighborhood watch and block
captains. Contact Ed Breese.
 | We need your input and participation. |
