Dear DNA Members and Downtown Stakeholders,
 
With our first year behind us, we are continuing to position DNA to take a greater role in shaping the future of the downtown area.
 
The 2006 Officers and Board of Directors are:

In order to meet our Mission Statement, the board of directors has established some short and long term goals.  By accomplishing a series of short term goals we will accomplish our long term goals.
 
bulletIncrease membership, member participation, and member representation.
bulletEstablish an Internet presence.
bulletChange the perception of downtown safety.
These are being addressed with current action items
bulletWe are offering FREE membership to all prospective members who own property, operate a business, and/or have a primary residence downtown.
bulletAlso, for those who do not qualify for full membership but would like to participate, we are offering FREE associate and student non-voting memberships.
bulletFor all existing members, 2006 dues are now due.
bulletHowever, existing members can have their 2006 membership renewed FREE by signing up 2 or more new members before the March General Membership Meeting.

We challenge each of you to get involved.
bulletWe need member volunteers to represent DNA as liaisons to the various city government and community organizations.  If you have an interest, contact any board member.
bulletWe need you to talk to your neighbors and bring at least 2 new members to DNA.  If you need an 2006 membership form, you can contact any board member.
bulletWe need volunteers for the neighborhood watch and block captains.  Contact Ed Breese.
bulletWe need your input and participation.
The DNA web site is complete but will continue to evolve.  Please take an opportunity to go to the site and try out all of the features.  The web address is www.jcdna.org .  We would appreciate your comments.  We would like everyone with a web site of their own to create a link to the DNA web site.
